I have two Colman chairs that are top notch.

RE: Unloading a camper on a slanted driveway

if those are happy jacks you can rebuild them with a kit . takes about a afternoon to do.Nice camper. If you take a sliding bevel square and measure the angle of the driveway , you can use that angle to cut blocks for the jacks.

RE: Trying to cut fuel costs, what are you doing?

I now limit truck camper travel too one tank of gas 74L
I get gas at the grocery store and they give a coupon to spend in store , I think it is 3%.
we have 6 provincial campgrounds and 100's of private within 1 hour of home.

RE: How to Unload on a Slant -- Really

one thing I do too unload is , I take the tail gate off on the road ,then back up the hill and unload.
this allows me to clear the camper .giving me more clearance between the truck and camper on the hill.
I used a sliding beval square to find the angle of my driveway , and cut blocks of wood at that angle for the jacks.

RE: silverado diesel VS new hybrid

how that truck works is-
-there is a electric motor between the engine and the transmission.
-when you coast or break the engine shuts off and the electric charges the batt.
-stopped at a light the engine is off.
-when you press the gas peddle the electric starts you off then it starts the gas engine.
-the truck is the same as the gas only one , butt uses the the electric to start and stop.
-this truck has no starter , it uses the electric motor.
- it also goes down too 4 cylinders at highway speeds.
- It also has two built in 120 volt plugs

RE: vancouver and beyond

Here are some tips for jasper , Icefield parkway , banff.
-once inside the park you must camp in a campground. You will need a park pass to drive in it.
-The whistlers campground is just south of jasper about a 5 minute drive ,this campsite is great for seeing wildlife as it has wildlife traveling around it all the time due to the grass lands in the campground.this campground has clean showers and toilets.
-Jasper, You will find fuel and groceries, fill up before heading too banf.
-Icefeild parkway , there is a lot to see between jasper and banf .the columbia ice feild will take you at least 4hrs too see.the drive from jasper too banf is a long one , so start out early .
-Banf , we stayed at the tunnel mountain , It was clean and well kept.ther is a buss that goes from the camground to town and up to the hotsprings.A must see is the museum and the hot springs. You will find that banf has the highest gas prices in canada. We had wildlife through the campground here too.
-Diesel in B.C today is from $1.24@liter too $1.32@liter
I will add a few more post's later
